London-based designer Mowalola Ogunlesi made a powerful return to London Fashion Week with a music-infused runway spectacle titled “Dirty Pop.” Staged in an industrial warehouse, the show seamlessly merged fashion, rave culture, and performance art, with model choreography led by the renowned Paris Goebel. High-profile guests such as A$AP Nast, Mahalia, and Riccardo Tisci were in attendance, adding to the electrifying atmosphere of the event.
One of the standout moments of the SS25 show was the highly anticipated Mowalola x Miss Sixty collaboration. This partnership between two fashion powerhouses brought a fresh, edgy twist to nostalgic Y2K denim. Mowalola’s larger “Dirty Pop” collection blends streetwear, bold rock elements, and avant-garde designs, pushing the boundaries of contemporary fashion. Key pieces in the collection include ultra-cropped jackets, body-hugging leather, and eye-catching latex, with daring silhouettes that captured the essence of rebellion and free expression.

Miss Sixty’s contribution highlighted its iconic denim heritage, reimagined through Mowalola’s provocative, forward-thinking approach. The collaboration emphasised raw, animalistic aesthetics, reflecting the global cultural influences Mowalola has embraced throughout her journey from Nigeria to London. Alongside other collaborations with brands like Timberland, the collection symbolized the fusion of fashion, music, and subculture that has become a hallmark of Mowalola’s creative vision.
